Feeling at home when you're a continent away from 'Home'

One of the biggest components of my abroad experience that made me feel overwhelmed and homesick was my living environment.

My comfort level changed the moment I changed my living space. I can't emphasize the importance of making your living space feel comfortable. When you get home after a long day, it's essential to feel safe when you enter the door. It's accurate to say that nothing makes me feel more safe in my home than a cozy rug and some throw blankets. Go splurge a little so that you can live in a space you'd feel excited to invite people too and that you're excited to go back too after a long night of clubbing.
